VIT's undergraduate degree program in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) is an outstanding example of the Institutions' focus towards industry needs. The Department of Computer science was established in the year 2008 with a sanctioned strength 0f 60. Computing science is the study of the theoretical foundations of information and computation, and of practical techniques for their implementation and application in computer systems. The aim of this department is to create quality IT professionals in the nation's march towards the digital age. Being a member of Velammal family, the department is committed to imparting quality technical knowledge and developing the necessary skills to enable students to successfully meet real world challenges. The department has produced more than 98% result in all the branches.
