Department profile:
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is established in the year 2008. This department is lead by the Principal and well experienced persons in academic field have joined as faculty members. Currently, the first year subjects Engineering Graphics, Engineering Practices lab and Basic Mechanical are being handled. The Engineering Practices lab is equipped with enough no of welding booths, lathes, drilling machine, foundry tools, sheet metal working tools, smithy shop and carpentry tools. The lab is maintained well by three qualified technicians.
The department of Mechanical Engineering has produced 100% as pass percentage in one of the branches and out of four branches an overall of 97% is obtained as a pass percentage in the last semester University Examinations. And also out of 234 students appeared for Anna University Examinations for Engineering Graphics, 32 have obtained S grade and 70 students obtained A grade.
